Announcing the Biggest and Best Golf Tournaments & Events Calendar in New Orleans

New Orleans Golf Tournaments & Events

Golf Crescent City is proud to announce the arrival of the largest and most reliable golf events and tournaments calendar in the New Orleans area: the new Golf Crescent City Events Calendar!

Currently including nearly 100 golf events in 2016 from over 20 different golf courses in the New Orleans area, this golf calendar is constantly updated with new events. It’s the quickest and simplest way to find the golf event or tournament that you’re looking for, and helps all NOLA golfers stay up-to-date with their favorite courses, tournaments, scrambles, classes, spectator events and more.

Golf Crescent City will constantly be updating the calendar with the newest golf events in the area, and encourages anyone to tell us about golf events that are not yet included, or that you would like to promote. You can do so by visiting our Contact Page.

And for New Orleans golf courses and event coordinators it’s one of the best tools for promoting your golf course or golf event.

Events range in cost from free to $1,000 or more, and consist of everything from two- and four-person scrambles to spectator events like the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, beginning at the end of April, and high school golf championships throughout the summer. The Golf Crescent City Events Calendar also features various types of tournaments, like the 4th of July Winston Bradley 4-Ball Tournament at the Oak Knoll Country Club, and fun, unique tournaments such as the Bayou Barriere Golf Club’s Glow Golf Tournament in mid-April.

This unprecedented new calendar also details numerous fundraiser and charity golf tournaments, including the Al Copeland Foundation Charity Golf Fest at the Beau Chene Country Club on April 1, the National Black Golf & Jazz Pioneers Achievement Awards & Tournament on April 6 at the Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Municipal Golf Course, and the Battle of the Branches Golf Tournament on July 30 at Timberlane Country Club.

In addition, the calendar also lists a huge number of kids golf events, such as the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation Local Tour, throughout the golf season, which features games and tournaments at local golf courses like Pinewood Country Club, Webb Memorial Golf Course, and Diamondhead Country Club. The calendar also includes golf camps and classes like the After School Core Golf and Life Skills Program and the 2016 Junior Birdies Camp at Stonebridge Golf Club June 6. Our list of golf events even features recurring events like Military Appreciation Mondays at the Bayou Barriere Golf Club.

The courses featured in the calendar include Golf Crescent City’s partner courses, but also many other courses in the New Orleans area. Golf Crescent City’s goal when making this calendar was to create the best, biggest, most complete, and most up-to-date NOLA golf events calendar for their customers and partner courses — but also for anyone looking for a convenient way to find local golf events.

Golf Crescent City’s mission is to get local golfers back on New Orleans’ courses — trying new local golf courses and revisiting their favorites — without stressing about the prices of green fees that may keep them from golfing as often as they would like. At the same time, Golf Crescent City strives to promote our area’s amazing courses and introduce them to more golfers. This calendar, along with the Golf Crescent City membership cards, help accomplish this goal of introducing golfers to a variety of courses they either haven’t heard of, never thought they’d get to play, or haven’t played in quite some time.

Golf Crescent City wants to help golfers and golf courses alike connect and enjoy the game of golf.

Golf Crescent City’s co-founder Chris Scarnati explains, “It’s challenging for courses to promote their golf events while also trying to maintain everything else going on at the course. Golf Crescent City’s calendar not only promotes our area courses, but it helps to get more golfers involved in the New Orleans golfing community.”
